Mrs. Tourism Pageant (MTP) is an annual international charity based beauty pageant for married women promoting motherhood, tourism and social responsibility. The pageant is one of the world’s relevant beauty pageants for married women in terms of the number of crowns and titles given each year such as Mrs. Tourism Globe, Mrs. Tourism Earth, Mrs. Tourism International, Mrs. Tourism World and Mrs. Tourism Universe.
The reigning titleholders dedicate their year to promote specific projects and often address issues concerning violence against women and children, the environment and other global challenges through school tours, tree planting activities, street campaigns, speaking engagements, medical missions, media guesting, trade fairs, storytelling programs to children, fashion shows, and other socio-civic activities.
Megastar Production headed by Ovette Ricalde as founder and CEO and Jeffrey Caballero as Vice President for Finance, launched the first edition of Mrs. Tourism Pageant in 2017 as an international event with the mission of channeling the beauty pageant entertainment industry as an effective tool to promote women empowerment. On that same year, MTP has adopted the slogan “A Mother Who Cares for the World” to further the pageant's causes and to work with local and international groups and non-governmental organizations that are actively involved in women empowerment.
The Mrs. Tourism Pageant has grown over the years, with more countries participating each year. The number of national MTP pageants has grown on every continent as well. It has also staged its coronation nights in different areas of the Philippines such as San Jose del Monte, Bulacan in 2017, Dapitan City, Mindanao in 2018 and Metro Manila in 2019. Through the years, MTP candidates were able to visit the scenic spots of Quezon Province, Pangasinan, Batangas, Cavite and Zamboanga del Norte.
