Young, beautiful, tall, talented and graceful nineteen year-old Kylie Luy is the country's bet at the forthcoming Miss Teen Universe pageant happening in Dubai - United Arab Emirates from last week of February to first week of March.
Kylie is currently enrolled in International School Manila (ISM) and dreaming to become a successful fashion designer in the future. In fact, she is scheduled to fly to Paris after she finish her secondary education and will continue her studies at Esmod, a popular school for fashion design. She is the only child of Joecel and Malou Luy of Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur,
The 5'10" stunner loves singing, dancing, drawing and reading and can play piano, guitar and violin. She spent her childhood days in London with her family and went back here in the Philippines when she was 10. She was once part of the international singing contest The Voice Kids Philippine edition with no less than Miss Lea Salonga as her voice coach. She speaks English and Visayan languages and can fully understand Tagalog.
A special press conference cum send-off party was prepared and organized for her by the people behind Miss Teen Universe Philippines organization led by the Chairwoman, former Bb. Pilipinas Universe 1998 and businesswoman Jewel May Lobaton and the National Director for the Philippines Miss Charlotte Dianco who just flew in to Manila to show her full support to Kylie. Miss Dianco owns various beauty pageant franchises and championing young Filipina in international stage the past years while Ms. Lobaton is planning to reinvent a popular city pageant in the country once we get back to normal. The event was held at the Grand Ballroom of Diamond Hotel Manila along Roxas Blvd., last February 15 hosted by Mr. Lance Raymundo. Selected members of the media, family members, close friends and supporters of Kylie were present to witness her official crowning and sashing. Wearing a Val Taguba creation, Kylie was a sight to behold as she enter the ballroom and thanks all the people for the love and support.
As part of her preparation, she will undergo training (pasarela, personality development, proper poise and posture, etc...) with no less than Rodgil Flores of Kagandahang Flores (KF) beauty camp to strengthen her bid to win the title in Dubai. Just recently, Kylie released her first single "Hey Mr. Perfect" a song she composed is now available on Spotify and soon in iTunes.
We wish Kylie all best of luck in her forth coming international competition and may she bring home another crown for the Philippines.
