The Miss World Philippines Organization (MWPO) recently proclaimed Dindi Pajares as Miss Supranational Philippines 2021.
Representing #Orani, #Bataan, Dindi was the unanimous choice among the MWP 2021 candidates who voted among themselves last Saturday afternoon, July 24, at the Red Hotel Philippines in Quezon City.
With the recent reimposition of more stringent health protocols by the IATF and the local government amid the mounting cases of Covid-19 infections caused by its more potent Delta variant, the MWPO was forced to reschedule its coronation night-originally scheduled for July 25 at the Okada Manila Grand Ballroom to August 8 at the same venue.
The impromptu voting process meant to ensure the country's participation in the forthcoming Miss Supranational 2021 pageant to be held in Malopolska, Polandi August 21. Since the official candidate has to leave for Poland on August 3, the MWP organization had to select a delegate prior to its rescheduled coronation night.
As MWP National Director Arnold Vegafria announced the winner's name, the room echoed with shrieks and thunderous cheers, with Dindi choked with emotion and bursting in tears as she delivered her acceptance speech.
Dindi, whose advocacy includes diversity, inclusion and entrepreneurship, was one of four top nominees for the Miss Supranational PH 2021 crown, which included Ruffa Nava, Kathleen Paton and Megan Campbell.
With Dindi's anointment as Miss Supranational PH 2021, seven more titles are at stake, namel Miss World Philippines, Miss Eco Philippines, Miss Eco Teen Philippines, Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas, Miss Multinational Philippines, Miss Philippines Tourism and Miss Environment International Philippines.
During Dindi's official sendoff press conference on Monday, July 26, the MWPO also announced John Adajar's appointment as its official representative to the Mr. Supranational 2021 pageant scheduled on August 22, also in Malopolska, Poland.
The reigning two-time global MMA welterweight champion is one of the top contenders of the URCC (Universal Reality Combat Championship), one of the country's most prestigious mixed martial arts (MMA) fight leagues.
Nicknamed " #TheOutlaw ," John aims to use sports as his main platform to inspire, empower and foster brotherhood and camaraderie among fledgling athletes.
Hailing from the picturesque city of San Pablo, Laguna, also known as the City of Seven Lakes,
John has taken part in his family's civic-minded initiatives, specifically a city-wide food relief program, #Hapagkainan, meant to help his underprivileged townsfolk.
Of his forthcoming pageant stint, John says, "Today, I step out of the ring and prepare for an
even bigger and tougher fight: the 2021 Mr. Supranational pageant.".

With the more optimistic global scenario these days, I'm very certain that our candidates, Dindi and John, stand a good chance of claiming the crown and putting the Philippines back on the pageant map."
