Her love for the art and culture of Japan heavily influences her designs. The pandemic gave them the idea of making washable masks paired with a shirt and tote bag for a full Gakuya look. Thinking not only of herself but her employees, she decided to produce these masks to keep them busy.
These shirts are also a hit with the stars! Paolo Ballesteros, MJ Lastimosa and Alessandra de Rossi can be seen wearing Gakuya!
With the pandemic still going on, Kim Gan will be focusing on ready to wear and, very soon, Gakuya home!
