MISS MANILA 2019 GEARS FOR GRAND STAGING

This 2019, Miss Manila is set to turn a new leaf in its storied tradition. With a new management at the helm, notable changes will be undertaken. While it continues the tradition of discovering young, beautiful and smart ladies, Miss Manila is widening its horizon by making the pageant a Metro Manila-wide search. This means, ladies from the 17 cities comprising the National Capital Region (NCR) will get a chance to join and have a shot at the prestigious crown. 

 In order to select highly-qualified candidates, ladies must undergo a strict preliminary screening process in their respective barangays. Once they are chosen, they undergo another screening in the district level. Then those who passed the stern test will represent their respective city (five candidates from each city).

 At the forefront of this endeavour is Jewel Lobaton, the CEO of Sapphire Productions Incorporated (SPI). SPI is now the producer and organizer of Miss Manila. Miss Lobaton aims to redefine Miss Manila by discovering young and smart ladies who will serve as the face and voice of the organization.
The winner, aside from bagging the crown and a host of attractive prizes, will have countless opportunities for personal and professional growth. She will also take an active role in the promotion of education in Manila as well as spearheading charity works in different parts of the city.

In adherence to its platform, “Finest Beauty, Transforming Lives,” Miss Manila will focus on education intervention as the heart of its advocacy. The organization strongly believes that education is the primary instrument that will bail people out of poverty. In order to create change in the lives of the people, Miss Manila will be involved in the following undertakings:
1. Educational Intervention (public school students) on Arts, Culture, Tourism
2. Empowerment of public school teachers & volunteers
3. Active participation of Miss Manila candidates as ambassadors of education in their respective barangay/district

With this significant development, this year’s staging of Miss Manila promises to be grander, more colourful and more purposeful. Aside from Miss Lobaton, the organization is also composed of individuals who have impressive knowledge and experience in staging events and productions.
