Mutya ng Pilipinas prides itself as one of the pioneer and premiere beauty pageant search in the country. The organization has produced four Miss Asia Pacific Queens namely: Carines Zaragoza, (1982) Bong Dimayacyac, (1983) Lorna Legaspi (1989), and Michelle Aldana (1993) and two Miss World Finalist and Continental Queens for Asia courtesy of Sarah Jane Arreza (1982) and Sherry Rose Byrne (1986). Mutya also produced countless international pageant winners and a long line up of beauties who entered showbiz such as Baby Delgado, the late Rio Diaz, Bong Dimayacyac, Mutya Laxa, Azenith Briones, Marilou Bendigo, Aurora Sevilla, Tetchie Agbayani, Daisy Reyes, Michelle Aldana, Maricel Morales to name a few.
This year marks the 47th year of Mutya ng Pilipinas who continues with its noble mission of “Beauty Tourism Campaign” motivated and inspired by its guiding thrust to assist in promoting Tourism, Social Responsibility, Fashion and Beauty Pageantry – a combination which differentiates itself from other similar pageants. Mutya also marks another milestone this year, as it partners with VIVA Entertainment and Resorts World Manila, two of the country’s Top Entertainment Entity as Major Presentors of this years pageant search
Thirty (30) Official Candidates of Mutya ng Pilipinas 2015 were presented to the members of Media and VIP Guests during the formal Press Presentation held last Friday, July 17, 2015 at the Resorts World Manila in Pasay City. They all came from various regions across the country and selected Filipino Communities Abroad.

This year’s impressive line-up of delegates will have its pre-pageant activities and Swimsuit Competition with Talent Night at the world-class Sheridan Beach Resort and Spa at Puerto Princesa, Palawan from July 20-23, the Long Gown Competition will be held at Hannah’s Beach Resort & Convention Center in Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte from July 24-26 and Regional Costume & Designers Competition on July 27-28.
Three Coveted Titles (Mutya ng Pilipinas-Overseas Community, Mutya ng Pilipinas- Tourism International and Mutya ng Pilipinas Asia-Pacific International) will be awarded to three lucky ladies at the Grand Coronation Night to be held at Newport Performing Arts Theater in Resorts World Manila on August 2 to be Telecast at Sunday’s Best on ABS CBN Channel 2.
